General Mailing Lists (@sympa.auckland.ac.nz)

This server provides you access to your environment on mailing list server. Starting from this web page, you can perform subscription options, unsubscription, archives, list management and so on.

Any University of Auckland staff member is permitted to request a list within this domain, and ask Service Desk to approve it. All lists will have the listname@sympa.auckland.ac.nz domain. All of these lists can be accessed from outside the University's network, depending on any additional requirements defined by the list owner.

Generally speaking, you should create your new lists in the @list.auckland.ac.nz domain, rather than in here. Most lists are in that domain, and this domain only exists for certain technical reasons. There are additional restrictions on allowed list names in this domain which may not immediately be apparent.

Make sure you are viewing the correct list domain! This page is for @sympa.auckland.ac.nz mailing lists. If you want to manage @list.auckland.ac.nz lists, then you should click on the blue Global Lists tab above.
